We believe that innovation goes hand-in-hand with collaboration which is why, every year, we create a community within a community in the form of the Innovators Club.
Alongside an official 10-week programme of workshops, mentoring and events, the Innovators Club offers a platform for early-stage life science start-ups working in similar areas to meet each other and share common hardships. Whilst the product or service provided is different, the developmental hurdles that start-ups face are often the same.
We call the Innovators Club a network accelerator programme because one thing is for certain, participating start-ups will expand their network and develop meaningful relationships to boost their business.
Our unique 10-week programme consists of:
A series of expert-led workshops covering essential start-up topics including IP, grant funding, R&D tax, insurance, raising investment, recruitment, legal aspects and pitching.
Each cohort company is paired with a relevant investor for a 1-to-1 no detriment session offering invaluable feedback on business proposition, deck and pitching style.
Each cohort company is interviewed by one of our Science Writers to produce a bespoke Startup Spotlight article that is shared across our social channels to 5,000+ followers.
At the end of the programme, each cohort company has the opportunity to present a rapid-fire pitch to the 200+ members of the BioCapital Network.
The programme typically kicks off in September and runs through to November each year.

“The programme offered excellent opportunities for meeting with experts as well as networking with founders and investors.”- Maya Thanou, Founder of Apeikon Therapeutics
“The workshops with investors were extremely helpful as they provided invaluable feedback on our business plan, approach and importantly, our pitches. We can’t overstate the importance of participating in a live pitch event before starting fundraising.”
- David Ortega, Founder of Phase Biolabs
“Most of all, I really like the fact that I am meeting great founders that are facing similar challenges as we are.”- Sofia Giampaoli, Founder of Alt Atlas
